How does the 20% recurring commission work?
You earn 20% of every monthly invoice paid by customers you refer, for 12 consecutive months from their signup date. On our $199/mo plan, that's about $39.80/month — or roughly $478 per referral over the year. Higher-tier plans pay proportionally more.
How long is the tracking cookie?
90 days. If someone clicks your link and signs up for a paid plan within 90 days, the referral is credited to you — even if they come back through a different channel first.
Can I use paid ads to promote Clockwork?
Yes, with two exceptions: no bidding on “Clockwork” brand terms or close variants on Google/Bing, and no impersonation of Clockwork in ad copy or landing pages. Full policy is in the partner terms.
I run an accounting firm — is there a better fit for me?
Yes. Firms serving 5+ clients typically move to the Clockwork Partner track — pooled client licenses (20 on Start, 60 on Scale, 125 on Growth), a dedicated partner manager, and co-marketing. Apply and we'll route you.
When do I get paid?
Commissions are held 30 days to cover refunds, then paid on the 15th via PayPal, Stripe, or direct deposit. $50 minimum.
Can I be a Clockwork customer AND an affiliate?
Absolutely — many top affiliates are active Clockwork users. Refer peers, clients, or portfolio companies, and stack commissions with any existing credits.
What counts as a qualified referral?
Any new paying Clockwork customer who signs up through your tracking link and stays on a paid plan past the refund window. Free trials don't count until they convert.
